Robert Pauly, Curator of the St. Louis Fire Department Museum since 1997, is considered the leading historian of the St. Louis Fire Department, particularly stations and apparatus. His photos and historical contributions have been published in numerous fire service publications during the past 50 years and he has been recognized by the City of St. Louis with several proclamations for his dedication and service. Dennis Maag, a firefighter since 1983, is a captain with the Mehlville Fire District of St. Louis County, Missouri and served many years on Mehlville's Apparatus committee designing and specifying apparatus. He is a fire apparatus photographer, a contributing editor for Fire Apparatus Journal and his photos have appeared in numerous fire service periodicals and history books. His interests include fire apparatus, with a particular interest in former-local apparatus manufacturers General-St. Louis, Central, and Towers, and history of the fire service in the St. Louis Metro area.
